Happy Valentines Day!

To honor this very special day of hearts, I am posting a song that is very meaningful to me – the song that Forever Husband and I danced to for the first time as hubby + wife!

(It’s a good thing you didn’t see our crazy choreography to this!)

Hope all of you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day – whether with friends, family or partners!

What an amazing day for Forever & Ever Events! Today we were hard at work planning two very exciting weddings in France for summer 2012 when we saw that the incredibly beautiful bridal blog Once Wed have featured one of our weddings in France from last year!

Once Wed is one of my favorite online wedding publications, so it is such a huge compliment to me that they have featured my work. Thank you so much to Emily and Joy at Once Wed for the feature!

Be sure to check out the full feature (and how beautifully the Once Wed girls have laid it all out) by clicking HERE.

In case you hadn’t seen it previously, I blogged about this wedding and this amazing bride here.

This wedding was also featured in Martha Stewart Weddings.

Coquette Cuteness

Everyone who knows me even just a little can vouch that I’m a real sucker for really good stationery design – in fact, some may even say that I’m a hawk when it comes to all the detail – from typography choice to envelope liners to the selection of paper! For me, stationery is such a huge part of the overall design for a wedding or event, and it is such an important investment. I really don’t see what the point is in having a beautifully planned wedding, only to have poorly designed place cards, signage, menus and programs – it will only make your place setting look second-rate!

So you can imagine how thrilled and excited I am that my good friend Kate (& partner-in-crime at Reverie) just launched her new website for Coquette Paper & Press! The site is so cute! Check it out!

I also love that she is offering collections that you can simply order off the website – my personal favorite is the “Jennifer” range. (Although, don’t you think she should start a collection called the “Samson” with a little cute depiction of Forever Dog?!? – complete with his “signature,” i.e., paw?!?)

I have to say, though, that if you have the budget that can stretch, you should really go with a bespoke design (which Coquette also offers – as you can see below). Having Coquette design a custom invitation suite for you means that no one else will ever have the same wedding stationery. I mean, don’t you hate it when you buy yourself something amazing, like a rockin’ dress, only to see someone else wearing it? – same thing, in my book!

I’m so excited that Coquette have launched such a cute new website and that UK brides and couples can order really beautiful stationery so easily now. I also couldn’t recommend Kate’s work more highly. And neither can Forever Dog, seen here with Kate not too long ago!

Hmm, he does look slightly alarmed, doesn’t he? Clearly this thought is running through his mind: “Um, where is my Mommy? I am unsure about this situation. I cannot lie because I am a puppy.”

Anyway, go check out Coquette Paper & Press – and feel free to tell her that I referred you! ;-)

You & Your Wedding Magazine | March/April 2012 Issue

Forever & Ever Events featured in You & Your Wedding Magazine

I had so much fun working on this feature in the March/April issue of You & Your Wedding – out on newsstands now!

The editors at You & Your Wedding Magazine contacted me about being featured in this special article devoted to creative ways to plan and design a reception with a tight budget. It was indeed a tight budget (only £5,000) and it was great fun thinking of ways to have a beautifully designed reception within those constraints.

You must read the feature in full, so go to your local newsstands and pick up a copy of You & Your Wedding! Support print! ;)
